The success of the Pilates method lies in an awareness of the alignment of the bones and use of the breath throughout each exercise. By working with the breath and awareness we can release deep muscle tension and activate new patterns of movement. Using specialized Pilates equipment we can facilitate specific muscular engagement to strengthen weak muscles and draw the bones into better alignment. This improved alignment becomes more permanent as the muscles become stronger, relieving stress in the joint capsules, improving circulation, and creating a more naturally graceful body.
We offer massage and bodywork to meet the various needs of our clients:
* Within the context of a Pilates session, we may provide deep tissue and sports massage to facilitate muscular release as well as myofascial stretching.
* Karlon Kepcke also offers cranial-sacral therapy, which is a form of bodywork using therapeutic touch that works with the central nervous system to facilitate deep relaxation and alleviate chronic pain.
